Christie Brinkley was born in Michigan but grew up in California. She came into prominence when she
appeared on the cover of three consecutive Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues (1979 – 1981).
She has been under contract with Cover Girl since in 1976 and continues to work for them to this day, she has appeared in several small film roles and sells fitness equipment on cable TV infomercial's.
She has been married on four separate occasions Jean-François Allaux (1973–1981)
Billy Joel (1985–1994) Richard Taubman (1994–1995) Peter Cook (1996- ) and has three children.
